Union Street is a story that celebrates collaboration within the construction industry while showcasing a sense of community. The original building was a commercial space which didn’t work for our client, resulting in a full refurbishment of the property over six floors including a serene roof terrace that overlooks the London Borough of Southwark. LXA offered their Project Management and Cost Consultancy services, working alongside Architects, Corstorphine and Wright. The creative design focused on recognising the heritage of the Grade II listed Church next door, by creating a spotlight for the stained-glass window so that the church is still visible at the end of the street. The new office consists of multiple conference spaces, meeting rooms and open plan break out areas, the client described the completed project as a ‘Diamond amongst the lumps of coal in the construction industry’.
