Managing the fit-out of 4 floors of this new office building on Euston Road for Facebook was always going to be interesting. Gehry and Partners design all Facebook offices, LXA worked with Michael Collins out of Dublin to provide local design delivery/management services. Design was typically ‘deconstructed’, including exposed services, extensive plywood finishes and masses of AV. A central spiral staircase linked the spaces over 4 floors and provided a real sense of community within the office. There was a huge number of meeting rooms, and private ‘phone booths’, and acoustics were vitally important. Other features include a fully fitted kitchen, a climbing wall, a pub, games areas, and a multi-purpose space for all hands meetings, dining, concerts and other activities for employees.
